New Climber

New climbers are welcome to our centre! we do recommend that you complete an induction to learn the rules and ways to climb safely.

Inductions run periodically throughout the day; more details and booking options can be found below.

Please complete a participant agreement before your first visit! These must be completed for all climbers and all people who wish to supervise.

All inexperienced climbers and under 18s must be supervised by an adult that has previous experience or has completed an induction.

Experienced Climber

Experienced adult climbers don’t need to book to climb at Northway, but must complete a participant agreement before arriving at the centre.

Upon arrival, experienced climbers will be asked safety questions regarding bouldering before being allowed to boulder.

If you wish to use our ropes room, you must completed an additional assessment with an instructor. These sessions are free and walk in, and take around 5-10 minutes to complete. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee availability of this assessment if there are other sessions running at that time.
